What is 5-Amino-1MQ?
5-Amino-1-methylquinolinium is a small molecule rather than a peptide. It inhibits nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), an enzyme that methylates nicotinamide and is highly expressed in adipose tissue and liver.
Because NNMT sits where NAD+ salvage and methyl donor metabolism meet, NNMT inhibitors are used to study cellular energy metabolism, adipocyte biology and NAD+ availability.

- Allow the sealed vial to reach room temperature.
- Wipe the stopper with an alcohol swab.
- Add diluent slowly down the inside wall of the vial.
- Swirl gently until dissolved. Do not shake.
- Label with concentration and date, then refrigerate.

- Short term: 2 to 8°C for weeks in the sealed vial.
